  1. Avoid purchasing and using disposable products:paper plates, plastic utensils, napkins, paper towels, and styrofoam cups. 
  2. For meetings, send materials via e-mail instead of printing copies for attendees.
  3. Turn off lights when not in use. Turn off the lights in your office when you leave for a meeting and at the end of the day.
  4. Buy locally produced goods and buy from local stores.
  5. Check the "Power Save" mode on all electronic devices: computers, printers, fax machines, and copiers.


  1. Purchase and use reusable products: plates, utensils, cups and mugs.
  2. If you have to print, print on both sides.
  3. Reuse binders, folders and other office supplies.
  4. Save packing material you receive and reuse it for your shipping needs.
  5. If you can't reuse an item, donate it to one of the Chamber's members who will gladly accept it.

  1. Recycle paper, cardboard, plastics, cans, bottles, etc.
  2. Recycle toner cartridges and buy refilled toner cartridges.
  3. Choose to buy recycled and recyclable products.
