The Fredericksburg Regional Chamber of Commerce is committed to the welfare of the regional as a whole, and places a priority on education and workforce development.

Education Foundation Event - April 29, 2008

 

The Education Foundation will host a Workforce Development and Readiness Event, “Workforce Development in the Region,” on Tuesday, April 29 from 3-5 p.m. at Germanna Community College’s Fredericksburg Area Campus in Spotsylvania.

Dr. Glenn Dubois, Chancellor of the Virginia Community College System, will offer the keynote address.

Event panelists include: Brian Baker with the Rappahannock Region Small Business Development Center; Martha O'Keefe with Germanna Community College; Dr. David Sawyer, Superintendent of Stafford County Schools; Theresa Steinback with Manpower and Carol Scott with the Virginia Employment Commission.

The event will highlight existing workforce development programs in the region to the Chamber membership, as well as the Fredericksburg At-Large business and education communities.

The event will open and close with an “expo” that highlights organizations involved with workforce development from the entire Fredericksburg Region.
