COMMUNICATIONS AND MARKETING
This division keeps members
abreast of the latest economic developments in the Fredericksburg area.
It also educates members about business issues and Chamber events, programs,
priorities, goals and accomplishments; and will promote members in publications.
The Communications and Marketing Division will continue to serve as a liaison
to assist the media and public relations offices in other organizations.
The Chamber will continue
to publish its award-winning monthly ChamberLink newspaper, an annual Relocation
Guide, an annual Community Profile, an annual report for the State of the
Chamber, and an annual Membership Directory. The email publications – Chamber
QuickNotes or Chamber Happenings – will be published every week, and ChamberAlert
will be published as needed. Our Business Link radio program, now entering
its third year, will continue to feature business and community leaders
and government officials.
Dramatic changes will occur
as part of the re-design of the Chamber’s website, which will be launched
in 2007. Under the new format, Chamber affiliates, councils and committees
will have their own pages. In addition, the Chamber will begin offering
podcasts – streaming audio files – on the website.
The Chamber will host a variety
of seminars and forums concerning critical business topics such as disaster
preparedness, HR issues and workplace security.
