Healthcare Council
The Healthcare Council, launched in January 2007, is one of the Chamber's newest Councils. It is focused on regional healthcare issues. The Council has members, made up of healthcare companies, medical professionals and companies that provide professional services and support to the healthcare industry. There are seven levels of membership; the Council has members in all seven levels.
Goals of the Healthcare Council include providing healthcare resources, information and support of initiatives that preserve and improve the quality of healthcare in the region. The HCC plans to address issues such as attracting and retaining healthcare providers, education for the business community on health insurance options, and other programs that are associated with accessibility to healthcare services. The Council will promote the continued growth of the area's healthcare industry by nurturing a supportive business climate for existing, start-up and relocating healthcare businesses.
