Ribbon Cutting
Policy:
It is the policy of the Fredericksburg Regional Chamber of Commerce to assist with Ribbon Cuttings for members in good standing. Ribbon cuttings will be provided for businesses that have been open for less than six months, have moved to a new location, opened a new branch or under other special circumstances approved by management.
Procedure:
Requests to Hold Event
AA thirty (30) day notice is requested. Ribbon cuttings can be scheduled Monday through Friday from 9:00 a.m. until 4:00 p.m. Ribbon cuttings cannot conflict with major events held by the Chamber. Businesses whose Ribbon Cuttings are held at times other than previously mentioned can submit a photograph and 25 word caption to be printed into the ChamberLink.
Event Location
Ribbon cuttings should be
held in one of the following areas: City of Fredericksburg, Stafford, King
George, Spotsylvania or Caroline counties.
Fee
The Fredericksburg Regional
Chamber of Commerce charges $100 for a Ribbon Cutting. This amount
covers all FRCC administration fees for the event. The fee is to
be collected prior to the event.
Publicity
FRCC will provide the following
publicity for a Ribbon Cutting. Due to publication materials deadlines,
a ribbon cutting publicity is not guaranteed if it is scheduled after the
deadline.

will be made prior to the event, a photo and 25-word caption will be included
after the event.

The event will be listed prior to the event

ChamberQuickNotes.
An announcement will be made prior to the event and listed in the calendar.
Promotional Materials
If the host company opts
to do additional promotion for the event not provided by the Chamber, it
is required that the Fredericksburg Regional Chamber of Commerce approve,
for technical and factual accuracy, all promotional materials mentioning
the Fredericksburg Regional Chamber of Commerce and/or event (including
invitations, programs, press releases, etc.) prior to printing or broadcast.
FRCC Logo
A host company may use the
FRCC logo in their marketing materials to promote the event. The
host company must abide by the following guidelines when using the FRCC
logo:
By displaying the Chamber
logo, the host company’s customers, clients and fellow Chamber members
will recognize that the host company is a member in good standing of the
Chamber. However, the Chamber logo is not intended to appear prominently
or overpower the message of the materials.
Near the logo, the host
company must state, “(Company name) is a proud member of the Fredericksburg
Regional Chamber of Commerce.”
The host company must submit
a written request to use the Chamber logo, identifying how they will use
the logo and the number of times they will use the logo. If they have any
questions regarding proper usage of the Chamber logo on your materials,
the host company representative needs to contact the FRCC communications
