2025 Fredericksburg Regional Spelling Bee Results

Fredericksburg, Virginia, March 4, 2025 – Central Rappahannock Regional Library (CRRL) presented the 2025 Fredericksburg Regional Spelling Bee on Saturday, March 1 at James Monroe High School, sponsored by Access Eye, Fredericksburg Host Lions Club, and Kiwanis Club of Fredericksburg. Fourteen division winners competed.
The 2025 Fredericksburg Regional Spelling Bee Champion is Draven Williams, 8th grader at Dixon-Smith Middle School in Stafford County, who will go on to the 2025 Scripps National Spelling Bee that will be held in May.
The champion word was “wobbulator,” which is defined by the Merriam-Webster Unabridged, the official dictionary of the Scripps National Spelling Bee, as “a testing device for radio sets in which the frequency is varied periodically and automatically over a predetermined range.” |
