DESCRIPTION:May is officially recognized as Mental Health Awareness Month. 
 This awareness campaign was started in 1949 by the Mental Health America o
 rganization (then known as the National Association for Mental Health). As
  an affiliate of MHA\, Mental Health America of Fredericksburg has celebra
 ted mental wellness every May since our formation in 1955. Since the annua
 l Walk for Mental Wellness was started 15 years ago\, our staff and board 
 of directors have been continually humbled by and appreciative of the outp
 ouring of support and participation from supporters like you! When you wal
 k\, you are building community awareness for mental health and removing st
 igmas that prevent people from reaching out to get the help they need. $35
