On Thursday, February 13, 2025, the Fredericksburg City Council held a Special Session Meeting at 2:00pm in Council Chambers, where they voted to appoint Susanna Finn to serve as City Councilor through the remainder of the current term ending on December 31, 2025. Judge Gordon Willis, Presiding Judge of the Fredericksburg Circuit Court, administered the Oath of Office. Finn is a public planning professional and Chair of the Fredericksburg Planning Commission. She has 10 years of experience in urban planning, a certification through the American Institute of Certified Planners and an educational background in historic preservation through the University of Mary Washington. “Fredericksburg, and particularly Ward 3, is where my family and I have planted our roots, grown and thrived. I am excited about the bright future of our city and confident that with genuine collaboration, we can overcome challenges and enact positive solutions,” stated Finn.
