What school are you currently attending, and what’s your major or focus of study?I’m currently attending Germanna Community College and am in the Nursing Program. I’ll be graduating in December 2026 with my ADN and pre-BSN.
What’s been one of your biggest accomplishments or milestones since receiving the scholarship?
This past spring was my first semester in the Nursing Program. It proved to be quite challenging in terms of time and stress management due to the workload and the volume of knowledge and skills required. I’m proud to say I completed my first semester with a 4.0 GPA and maintained a 4.0 overall.

How has the scholarship helped support your academic or career goals?
The scholarship helped alleviate financial stress while I was in my first semester, which allowed me to focus fully on my studies.

What are your plans for the upcoming academic year or after graduation?
I plan to continue strong through my second and third semesters in the Nursing Program while maintaining my 4.0 GPA. After graduation, I plan to begin working full-time and pursue the remainder of my BSN part-time at a university.

Is there anything you’d like to say to the Chamber members and sponsors who made your scholarship possible?
I would like to express my sincere gratitude for the scholarship you awarded me. When I applied, I thought it was a longshot—if not impossible. I was shocked when I received the news that I’d been selected. It truly gave me extra confidence to keep going as an older returning student. Thank you again for your generosity!
