Fredericksburg, VA, February 2026 – The Community Connections Expo returns for its third year on March 17, 2026, from 9 AM to 5 PM at the Fredericksburg Convention Center, continuing its mission to connect individuals and families with critical local services at a time when community need is greater than ever. Hosted by local health nonprofit FAHASS (Fredericksburg Area Health and Support Services) in partnership with the Fredericksburg Regional Continuum of Care, the Expo serves a host of individuals and families including those experiencing homelessness, those at risk of housing instability, and members of the ALICE population (Asset Limited, Income Constrained, Employed).

Since its launch, the Community Connections Expo has served more than 1,000 families over two years, bringing together over 140 service providers from across the region. In its second year alone, the event connected over 400 families with 80 vendors and distributed more than 1,200 articles of clothing, along with a wide range of free, on-site services including health screenings, haircuts, food access, and essential resources.

“As the cost of living rises and support systems are stretched thin, more people than ever are struggling to access the resources they need,” said Joseph Lyttle, Executive Director of FAHASS. “The Community Connections Expo exists because collaboration works. By bringing service providers together in one place, we remove barriers, reduce confusion, and create real pathways to stability for our neighbors. This event is about meeting people where they are and responding to urgency with action.”

The Expo creates a one-day, one-location hub where nonprofits, healthcare providers, government agencies, and community organizations work side by side to deliver direct services and meaningful connections. Attendance is free and open to the public, with no registration required for individuals and families seeking assistance.

FAHASS is currently seeking event sponsors to help sustain and expand the impact of this critical community initiative. Vendor registration is also open, with organizations encouraged to register before March, as pricing will increase after March 1. New sponsors for the 2026 Expo include Dominion Care and Macaroni Kid, whose support is helping make this event possible.

Community members, businesses, nonprofits, and service providers are encouraged to attend, participate, sponsor, or volunteer in support of this growing regional effort.
