For nearly 20 years, Leadership Fredericksburg has been the region’s premier leadership development program, equipping professionals with the knowledge, connections, and experiences needed to lead organizations and strengthen our communities.
Designed for emerging and established leaders alike, the nine-month program provides participants with an in-depth understanding of the issues, opportunities, and partnerships that shape the Fredericksburg region while fostering meaningful relationships across industries and localities.

Leadership Fredericksburg is more than a classroom experience. Participants engage in hands-on learning and behind-the-scenes access to the organizations, leaders, and industries driving our regional economy.
Throughout the program, the class explores each locality that makes up the Fredericksburg region:
- Caroline County
- King George County
- Spotsylvania County
- Stafford County
- City of Fredericksburg
Each session offers opportunities to meet community leaders, examine regional challenges and opportunities, and gain a deeper appreciation for the collaboration that fuels our region’s success.

Leadership Fredericksburg is offered annually by the Fredericksburg Regional Chamber of Commerce. Applications for each new class open in the May, with the program beginning each September.

Participants will:
- Enhance their leadership development skills
- Meet with top community leaders
- Complete a personality profile assessment;
- Receive a 360° rater leadership assessment which includes an individual executive coaching session
- Work directly with an individual mentor from the business community
- Participate in team projects.

Our distinguished faculty is made up of seasoned business and community leaders who bring real-world experience, deep expertise, and a passion for developing others. Through hands-on training, engaging sessions, and one-on-one mentoring, they guide participants through a transformative leadership journey—helping them grow personally and professionally while making a lasting impact in the Fredericksburg region.
