Local artists Gabe Pons of PONSHOP Studio & Gallery and Sophia Pineda (Sophiola) recently completed a beautiful mural on our campus. The idea for the mural began through conversations between President & CEO Al Fagan and Oberle student Allen, whose love of butterflies, wildlife, and nature helped inspire the design. The finished mural reflects growth and transformation, symbolic of our student body, and has become a meaningful addition to our school.
This project was truly a community effort. We are incredibly grateful to Gabe and Sophia, who generously donated their time and talent, and to Sherwin-Williams, who donated the paint and materials to help bring the vision to life. We are also humbled by the community members who showed up for our school and took time out of their schedules to paint during Community Paint Days.
More than a beautiful piece of art, The Oberle Academy mural is a great example of what can happen when our students and community come together. We are thrilled that this beautiful art installation is part of the Oberle campus for our students, staff, families, and visitors to enjoy.
We look forward to celebrating the mural and everyone who made it possible with a ribbon cutting this fall.
