Caroline High School’s Career and Technical Education (CTE) programs continue to build strong partnerships with businesses across Caroline and the Fredericksburg region. These collaborations are providing students with hands-on learning experiences and real-world career exposure.
Recently, Atlantic Builders hosted a CHS senior for a week-long experience in construction and project management, offering valuable insight into the building industry. Sheehy Ford has also stepped up by offering apprenticeship opportunities to our automotive students, helping them gain practical experience in the field.

Later this month, our Cybersecurity and IT students will have two exciting opportunities to connect with industry professionals. On October 17th, SimVentions will host students for a facility tour and career discussions. Then, on October 27th, students will participate in Cyberbytes’ Cyber Path Exploration Day, an immersive event focused on pathways in technology and cybersecurity.
Looking ahead, CHS will host its 3rd Annual Career Expo on November 14th. We are still seeking local businesses to participate in this impactful event. Exhibitors will have the chance to speak with juniors and seniors about career opportunities within their industries and the skills needed to succeed.
In addition, we are seeking guest speakers to visit with our Freshman Academy students and business partners willing to host site tours for our Jobs for Virginia Graduates (JVG) program and Freshman cohort. These experiences allow students to learn firsthand about career pathways and the many opportunities available right here in our region.
If your business would like to participate in the Career Expo, speak to students, or host a tour, please contact Kristina Sanders at [email protected]. Together, we can continue to build strong partnerships that prepare our students for success beyond high school.
