The Chamber’s Leadership Fredericksburg program graduated its eighteenth class during a May 16th ceremony at the Fredericksburg Country Club.

David Fraser, owner of Fraser Wood Elements and a graduate of the Leadership Fredericksburg Class of 2024, served as the keynote speaker. David shared his inspiring leadership journey and reflected on how the program played a pivotal role in shaping him into the leader he is today.

Also speaking at the event was Paul Dooley, a lieutenant with the Fredericksburg Police Department. As the 2025 Class President, Dooley shared reflections on the experiences of the Class of 2025 over the past nine months, offering a glimpse into the growth and camaraderie developed through the program.

The 2025 class was led by six faculty with extensive experience with leadership development and training: Dr. David Corderman (Academy Leadership Associates), Janel Donohue (Rappahannock United Way), Dr. J.R. Flatter (Flatter, Inc.), Dr. Tiffany Ray (Germanna Community College), Susan Spears (FRCC) and Dr. Kimberly Young (University of Mary Washington). Over nine months the class met in different business locations throughout the region. They learned key leadership content and took two assessments. They met with community, business, nonprofit, and educational leaders, who offered the fellows insights about their personal leadership journeys. Each fellow was paired with a trained mentor from the business community who supported their progress throughout the program.

Prior to graduation, four teams from the class of 30 presented the results of their Community Action Projects for four local non-profits, A Father’s Legacy, GAD Youth Center, STEM EIC and Healthy Generations Area Agency on Aging. Each team presented their deliverables during the Project Presentations at Germanna Community College on Thursday May 8th, 2025.
