Tickets- $45.00

Virginia’s energy future is at a pivotal moment. As the Commonwealth advances ambitious clean energy goals, the challenge lies in achieving sustainability while protecting the reliability and affordability that keep our economy strong.

The Regionalism Matters – Energy Forum: Powering Our Region Together will bring together business leaders, policymakers, and energy experts for a dynamic discussion on how to meet rising energy demands without compromising economic stability.

Keynote Speaker:
John Hewa, President & CEO of Rappahannock Electric Cooperative, will lead the conversation on how regional collaboration and balanced policy can ensure Virginia’s transition to cleaner energy remains reliable, affordable, and forward-thinking.

With new, energy-intensive industries entering the market and older generation assets retiring, the strain on Virginia’s grid is growing, raising concerns about potential supply disruptions, higher costs, and long-term business competitiveness.

The Fredericksburg Regional Chamber is advocating for thoughtful amendments to the Virginia Clean Economy Act (VCEA) to maintain electric reliability and affordability while continuing progress toward cleaner technologies.

Through collaboration, open dialogue, and regional leadership, this forum will explore how our communities can power growth, innovation, and sustainability together.
