FREDERICKSBURG, VA – Fredericksburg Main Street will host its 8th annual A Downtown Affair on Sunday, October 12th, transforming the 900 block of Charles Street into an open-air dining room under the stars. This one-of-a-kind fundraiser brings together the community for an unforgettable evening of food, celebration, and support for Downtown Fredericksburg.

Known as the only event of its kind in the region, A Downtown Affair features a seven-course, al fresco dining collaboration with some of Fredericksburg’s most celebrated restaurants. Guests will enjoy craft beers, curated wines, signature cocktails, a silent auction, live music, and lively company – all in the heart of historic Downtown.

“Now in its 8th year, this special dining experience is our way of thanking the supporters who make our work possible, while raising critical funds to keep our operation moving forward,” said Chris Allen, Executive Director of Fredericksburg Main Street. “What better way to celebrate our vibrant Main Street district than to be seated in the center of it all, among friends and neighbors, enjoying an elegant meal under the stars.”

The evening will begin with a VIP Cocktail Hour at 3:00 p.m. for sponsor-level guests, followed by general admission at 4:30 p.m. The program will kick off at 5:00 p.m. with remarks and the start of the multi-course meal.
