Leadership Fredericksburg
For 18 years, Leadership Fredericksburg has been the fastest growing network of leaders in the Fredericksburg region. Our more than 500 Alumni include CEOs, nonprofit leaders, elected officials, public servants (fire, rescue, police), and many leaders in current management roles that will be tomorrow’s top leaders.
Leadership Fredericksburg is a nine-month program that provides an opportunity for a cohort of leaders representing varying sectors to meet in learning settings throughout the Fredericksburg Region: Caroline, King George, Spotsylvania & Stafford counties and the city of Fredericksburg.
“Leadership Fredericksburg is a unique opportunity for motivated leaders to broaden their horizons,” said Susan Spears, Executive Director. “Program alumni are now the strongest network of leaders in the Fredericksburg Region. We seek professionals who are ready to lead using guiding principles of integrity, service and dedication.”

This is an opportunity for one nonprofit and/or small business in Planning District 16 to partner with our next class of fellows.
This is more than just a project—it’s a chance to gain fresh insight, new strategies, and real support from emerging leaders eager to make a difference. If your proposed initiative has the potential to positively impact the region, we want to hear from you. Applications due October 1st.
Participants will:
- Enhance their leadership development skills
- Meet with top community leaders
- Complete a personality profile assessment;
- Receive a 360° rater leadership assessment which includes an individual executive coaching session
- Work directly with an individual mentor from the business community
- Participate in team projects.

Our distinguished faculty is made up of seasoned business and community leaders who bring real-world experience, deep expertise, and a passion for developing others. Through hands-on training, engaging sessions, and one-on-one mentoring, they guide participants through a transformative leadership journey—helping them grow personally and professionally while making a lasting impact in the Fredericksburg region.
