Fredericksburg, Virginia – Rappahannock Area Community Services Board (RACSB) is pleased to announce its 2026 lineup of free community trainings. The agency’s Prevention Services Team offers a wide array of evidence-based training opportunities designed to support community members in preventing suicide and substance misuse and in fostering resilience across the region.

These trainings provide the practical tools needed to better understand behavioral health issues, reduce stigma and save lives. Sessions are scheduled throughout the year and include:

  • Opioid Overdose and Naloxone Training: Participants learn to recognize and respond to an opioid overdose and administer naloxone.
  • Mental Health First Aid: Eight-hour interactive courses teach how to identify and support someone experiencing a behavioral health challenge.
  • safeTALK and ASIST: Suicide prevention workshops give participants the skills to recognize risk and to connect people with help.
  • Understanding Adverse Childhood Experiences: Evidence-based training shows how trauma affects health and how communities can build resilience.
  • Community Resilience Initiative Courses: In-depth training explains trauma-informed practices.

Additionally, monthly naloxone dispensing and rapid training sessions are held throughout the community.
