The 516 Project is pleased to announce its upcoming Roofing Revival in the month of October, an ambitious initiative aimed at providing much-needed roof replacements for families facing dire housing conditions. This campaign seeks to make a lasting impact by partnering with local roofing companies, vocational programs, generous donors, and dedicated volunteers. Serving the counties of Stafford, Spotsylvania, Caroline, Hanover and City of Fredericksburg.
The Roofing Revival will unite the efforts of area businesses and students from vocational programs at Caroline and Spotsylvania schools. Multiple roofing companies including Fletcher Home and Rays Siding are generously donating labor and training for the students. By collaborating with local supply houses, the project aims to secure discounted materials to be purchased through donated funds from private donors and a grant from the Fredericksburg Area Builders Foundation. With 9 families currently on the project’s pending list, the Roofing Revival represents a unique opportunity to transform lives and communities. Many of these families are struggling to make ends meet on fixed incomes that leave little room for unexpected expenses such as roof replacements.
“We are humbled by the outpouring of support from our local community” James added. “The Roofing Revival is a true testament to the collective compassion and determination of individuals and organizations coming together to create lasting change.” To contribute to the Roofing Revival or learn more about the 516 Project’s ongoing efforts to improve housing conditions for families in need, visit www.516project.org/roofs
