The Fredericksburg Regional Chamber of Commerce held a ribbon cutting for Hope Heroes Southern Kitchen’s grand opening.  Hope stands for Helping Other People Eat, and each time a customer buys a bowl they are helping someone else access good nutrition.

Kevin Marshall, Spotsylvania Board of Directors, Berkley District was in attendance and said, “This is a unique opportunity for Spotsylvania county and economic development. With this restaurant we get to give back to the community every time we step into the door. This vision started three years ago and it’s an honor to be here and help open this business.

Hope Heroes was born out of a sustainability strategy focused on developing the verticals and supply channels of a fast-casual restaurant brand that will engage and create community while addressing the growing crisis of food insecurity. Our belief is that people love to eat and major decisions are made around a meal here in our culture. So we imagined, what if we connected doing “Good” with “Eating Good” and through this fusion of Altruism and necessity; we built a sustainable, franchise model that would fight food insecurity.

Dr. Deborah Frazier, Spotsylvania Board of Directors, Salem District, said “Thank you for giving to our community, thank you for uplifting our community, and helping us to be better as we unite the needs of our people with something as great as Hope Heroes Southern Kitchen.”

Hope Heroes Southern Kitchen is located at 9677 Patriot Highway, Fredericksburg, VA 22407
