Fredericksburg Area Metropolitan Planning Organization (FAMPO) is releasing a survey and hosting three Public Workshops to gather input and inform the public about FAMPO’s Complete Streets Plan. To be released after the November 17, 2025 Policy Committee meeting, the survey will give Fredericksburg area residents the opportunity to share their opinions on regional needs and impact the future of bicycle, pedestrian, and public transportation planning. The Complete Streets Public Workshops are
drop-in style; with hands-on activities, light refreshments, and the option to complete the survey in person and speak directly to the planners.

“Complete Streets” is a principle and set of guidelines for multimodal transportation planning that “ensure the safe and adequate accommodation of all users of the transportation system, including pedestrians, bicyclists, public transportation users, children, older individuals, individuals with disabilities, motorists, and freight vehicles.” The FAMPO Complete Streets plan will address regional safety and accessibility needs and support funding for Complete Streets projects. The goal is to better connect communities within the FAMPO region with a safe, accessible, and convenient multimodal transportation network. Let’s make transportation better, together!
