FREDERICKSBURG, VA (April 13th), The Faded Foundation will host its first 24-hour Fade-A-Thon beginning at 10:00 AM on June 1 through 10:00 AM on June 2 at the Central Rappahannock Regional Library Downtown location. This event will bring together barbers, community members, and local partners for a full day of service, mentorship, and impact.

The Fade-A-Thon is a continuous 24-hour barbering event where participating barbers will provide haircuts to raise funds and awareness for the Foundation’s mission. Proceeds will support scholarships, barbering education, and mentorship opportunities for high school students and adults seeking a second chance through the trade. Currently, more than five students are waiting for partial or full scholarships to be admitted to barber academy programs.

Throughout the event, attendees can expect more than just haircuts. The Fade-A-Thon will create space for mentorship conversations, community connection, and exposure to career pathways in barbering. Local businesses and community partners will also be involved, reinforcing the importance of workforce development and hands-on career training.

“The Fade-A-Thon is about more than haircuts. It is about creating opportunities, building confidence, and opening doors for individuals who are ready for a fresh start,” said Antoine Carey, founder of the Faded Foundation.

The event is open to the public, and community members are encouraged to attend, make the suggested $20 donation, receive a haircut, support participating barbers, and learn more about the Foundation’s programs. Sponsorships are also available to help cover the cost of haircuts for those unable to pay, as well as to support first responders and military members.

Sponsorship opportunities are currently available, with all partners receiving visibility throughout the event and recognition for their support of workforce development and second-chance initiatives.
