The Fredericksburg Regional Chamber of Commerce is proud to announce that President and CEO Susan Spears has been appointed to the Board of the Virginia Passenger Rail Authority (VPRA).
Established in 2020, the VPRA is charged with advancing, managing, and expanding passenger and commuter rail service throughout the Commonwealth. The Authority oversees all capital improvement projects, infrastructure development, and land acquisitions connected to the Transforming Rail in Virginia initiative—a program that will double Amtrak’s state-supported service and expand Virginia Railway Express (VRE) operations over the next decade.
