Rejuvalase Medspa is more than a place to receive aesthetic treatments, it’s a space where science, skincare, and self-confidence come together. Known for combining medical-grade esthetics with relaxing day spa services, Rejuvalase has built a strong reputation for results, education, and long-term relationships with clients.
Tell us about Rejuvalase Medspa, what inspired you to open your practice, and what is your core mission?
The journey to opening Rejuvalase began in an unexpected place. I started out as a nursing major at George Mason University, but after my first two years, I switched majors and became a special education teacher. While I truly enjoyed teaching and the work itself, I felt stuck financially and always wished I had completed my RN.
While looking into laser hair removal for myself, I began exploring the industry as a career and business opportunity. It wasn’t nursing, but it was science, esthetics, and working closely with people. The aesthetic and wellness industry was growing rapidly, and I started researching what it would look like to build a business in this field.
That curiosity turned into a mission: to create a medspa that blends clinical-level treatments with a personalized, supportive experience; helping clients feel their best both inside and out.
What services or treatments are you most known for, and what results do clients typically experience?
Rejuvalase is best known for neurotoxin and filler treatments, laser hair removal, and a variety of day spa services such as facials and massage.
While clients love the relaxation our day spa services provide, our goal is for every service to have results that extend beyond the treatment room. We want facials to deeply clean, extract, polish, and hydrate. We want massages to release tension not just physically, but mentally too. Many of our clients report feeling better and seeing lasting improvement after their treatments.
What makes your approach to skincare and aesthetic wellness unique compared to other medspas?
Rejuvalase was one of the first medical spas in our area, and we truly embody the hybrid model, medical esthetics combined with day spa services.
Beyond our longevity in the industry, what sets us apart is the relationships we build with our clients. We spend a lot of time during consultations getting to know each client, their concerns, and their skincare goals. Education is a major part of our process, and it’s feedback we hear often. I want every client to know what I’m doing and why.
Our services, products, and overall treatment plans are always designed to align with a client’s goals, and we make sure they understand how everything works together.
What are some of the most common misconceptions about medspa treatments, and how do you educate your clients?
The biggest misconceptions we hear are about neurotoxins and fillers.
Many clients who are new to these treatments worry that Botox will “poison” them or make them look frozen, and they worry that filler will make them look fake. That’s where education becomes essential.
I always start by telling clients: there is never a service they have to do. Everything is a choice. But I want them to make that choice based on facts, not misinformation.
Neurotoxins are used in medicine as well as esthetics. Botox is a purified protein produced by the Clostridium botulinum bacteria and is heavily diluted. The average 40–60 units used cosmetically is only a fraction of what a small child with cerebral palsy might receive medically for muscle spasticity.
With filler, we show clients real before-and-after examples of our work and explain how small the amount truly is, one syringe is about the size of a blueberry. It often takes more product than people realize to create a noticeable change, and the goal is always natural, balanced enhancement.
What’s one piece of advice you give clients for maintaining healthy skin and confidence between treatments?
Healthy skin begins on the inside. If your diet is lacking, if you’re dehydrated, or if you’re reacting to certain foods, your skin will reflect that.
Of course, skincare products matter too, especially potency and purity. I recommend vitamin C, a prescription retinoid, and SPF to almost all of my clients to help prevent damage, brighten, strengthen, and support long-term skin health.
I often tell clients: our services are the workout, and our products are the diet. A good “diet” is key.
And when it comes to confidence, improved skin and appearance can absolutely impact how we feel and how we show up in the world. But I also think it’s important that clients see their worth with or without our services. Loving yourself is one of the most attractive qualities a person can hold, and we’re here to help you enhance that.
