Fredericksburg, VA — April 16, 2026— Open Horizon Journeys will celebrate its official ribbon cutting on April 30 at 4:00 PM in partnership with the Fredericksburg Regional Chamber of Commerce, bringing together the local community for an event that blends business, connection, and impact.
At the heart of the event is a hands-on charity initiative, “Stuff the Suitcase,” benefiting I Support the Girls. Attendees will contribute essential items—including bras, underwear, and menstrual hygiene products—which will be collected and packed into suitcases live during the event for distribution within the Fredericksburg community.
This interactive element creates a powerful visual moment as donations build throughout the event, turning a traditional ribbon cutting into a community-driven effort with immediate local impact.
“Travel has always been about connection—understanding people, places, and perspectives,” said Christina Driskill, Founder of Open Horizon Journeys. “Bringing that same idea into this event felt important. This is about more than launching a business—it’s about showing up for our community in a meaningful way.”
Guests will enjoy light refreshments, networking, and an opportunity to learn more about Open Horizon Journeys’ approach to designing thoughtful, culturally immersive travel experiences.
Community members, local businesses, and media are encouraged to attend and be part of this collaborative effort.
