Fredericksburg, VA, SimVentions, Inc. was recently named as one of the 2026 Top Employers for Interns in Virginia. The annual list of Top Employers for Interns was created by the State Council of Higher Education for Virginia (SCHEV) and the Virginia Talent + Opportunity Partnership (V-TOP). This yearly recognition highlights Virginia employers that actively support student development through immersive learning, meaningful access to leadership, guided mentorship programs, and opportunities to earn certifications that build practical, career-ready skills. Among the 161 employers honored, SimVentions is recognized for its role in providing impactful work-based learning opportunities for students.
Ninety-one percent of honorees invest in paid internship programs, with many structured as in-person experiences during the summer months. SimVentions launched its internship program in 2003 with its first intern and has since welcomed 141 unique interns. Today, 20 former interns have gone on to become employee-owners, reflecting the company’s continued commitment to developing talent and providing meaningful, hands-on experiences within its work and culture year after year. SCHEV will formally recognize the top employers on July 30, 2026, in Richmond during Virginia Intern Day, a statewide event that celebrates student interns, employers, and higher education partners advancing work-based learning.
